The lid opens to reveal a 1.5 cm (5/8″) felt-lined compartment. The 3 drawers are 7 cm (2.75″), 4 cm (1.5″) and 2 cm (3/4″) deep by 13.5 cm (5″) x 25.5 cm (10″). The drawers are held closed by small magnets, requiring a small tug to open. This is intended to discourage small children from exploring your treasures. Below the bottom drawer is a 1.5 cm (5/8″) deep “secret compartment”. The wood grain patterns are continuous around both the outer box and the drawers. The corner joinery is left exposed, and provides an interesting pattern for the drawers.
