Wooden Urn Box – 100 kg Capacity

Description

A wooden urn box is a safe and lasting repository for the remains of yourself or of a loved and is a tangible token of a life’s journey. Hand-crafted, made with attention to detail, this custom ashes box will indicate a life’s worth of experience.

This box is made with CNC-cut finger joints in the four corners, and inset bottom and top. The walls of box are made from a single Maple board with continuous grain around the perimeter. The top is laminated from a lovely Tiger Maple board and a Bird’s Eye Roasted Maple section. The top is restrained by 2 cylinder magnets, which are hidden in the structure. The top may be removed by applying a Canadian Quarter to each magnet location. Note that the coins used should be Canadian, as most other currencies are non-magnetic. The bottom is another section of the same Tiger Maple board, this time with a section of figured Olive. The woods are finished with 3 hand-rubbed coats of Livos Natural Oil, a German finish which meets all EU standards for safety. The box is sized to accept the ashes of a 100 kg individual (220 lbs).
